Shit, get a patent and sell that to the military.

Are you sure you'd want to be alive after something like that?
Of course! Cause I'd be the freaking king! Come in, come in, have some fresh food and water and grab a gun!

I have been going over this for a while entity, right now I am thinking about what I can do with this fan of mine that died. I am going to try to make the guard on the front into a shield and the back part maybe into a shield for a rifle. Though I doubt it would work very well, lol first shot will probably go straight through it. Though I do know that there are actual shield that can be bought to go on m4s. I have been doing a lot of things with broom handles, planning on making a long torch out of one of the ones that is pretty long. Also you can make a "flamethrower" out of a can of axe. Not safe for sure but you could do it. I would think you could make cat o nine tails with electrical cables. And I know for a fact that you can kill people with newspapers and glue. You just have to know how to do that, there a lot of things that you can make from things just lying around.

Check this out
Take the long handle part off a baseball bat. attach a chain leading from the handle up to a baseball. screws thru baseball, like a mace. line the baseball with barbed wire.
BAM! Genius, am I not?

That actually isn't a half bad idea. Good think I convieniently found a baseball bat handle in someone's yard that I now keep for an easy to grab weapon in my car for when I can't get my crowbar immediatly.

Bleach and ammonia makes mustard gas that destroys your skin as well as your lungs if you inhale it. Do NOT mix these things together without proper equipment. I should also mention that this doesn't make military grade mustard gas since the compounds needed to make it aren't very concentrated in bleach and ammonia. Still it should be handled just the same, and I have no idea how you'd even be able to deploy the stuff without harming yourself and those around you. |
|
It does not make anything near mustard gas.
Sulfur mustard C4H8Cl2S
Nitrogen mustard C6NH13Cl2
What you get when you mix chlorine and ammonia? Either NaOCl2HClCl2NaClH2O Or 2NH3Cl22NH2Cl
Most of the internet forums say that it creates chlorine gas, which is not entirely accurate. Both are toxic to the body, but the effects are not long lasting like mustard, and the LD/50 is very very high. Which is not difficult to obtain in an enclosed space. But if deployed outside, it will really do nothing more than make your eyes water, and cough a little bit for a few minutes before it dissipates unless you use many hundreds of gallons.
Also remember that bleaches like Clorox only have like 5.5% bleach. So it is very difficult to obtain enough to actually be used as a weapon.
When using it outside you also have to consider changes in wind direction. There were many instances in WWI where one side or the other deployed agents that just turned in the wind and killed their own troops.

Deploying gas is like trying to herd kittens. Kegan makes a good point. Improvised weapons are typically very hazardous - something I've said before. I'm not saying knowledge of them is a bad thing, but they are last ditch items. I figure if I don't have my 1911 or some other weapon available to me, then I'm already dead and it won't matter.
ETA: The best improvised weapon I know of is 18" of garden hose filled with sand, ends plugged and taped with duct tape. You can go longer, like 24" or even 36" and it hurts like hell. Can break bones.

That is a good one, though I prefer cutting a dog chain to about eighteen inches and welding a bunch of ball bearings to the end then hooking the free end to a stick. Or chop down a lawn mower blade some and wedge it into a hammer handle then wrap it tight with cord.

Just bought another mag for my old 1911 today. This thread makes me remember just what a defensive miracle it really is.

They are a great gun, and easy to work with. So good to have after it all ends.

Cool tazer.
I just bought a wrist rocket slingshot. The girls and I practice with it, using peanut M & Ms as ammo. With ball bearings, the thing is lethal.
I think I'll stock up on surgical tubing so I can make more slingshots, should the need arise.
(I'll certainly buy some more .45 ACP ammo, as well.)

Hey, I have a thread called Best Handmade Weapons of Mass Destruction in the Weapons and Firearms section ( thats where this would belong anyway )
http://postapocalypticforum.com/index.cg....lay&thread=1656
Check it out.
My favorite would be Molotov Cocktails with glass bottles loaded with gasoline with fabric stopper lit on fire.
