 Always thought this was interesting...

Here is some advice someone compiled from a blogger who lived through the economic collapse in Argentina. I found it pretty interesting and sensible.

Hey Duane, you're right, that is a good article. Certainly covers a lot of points, and it's interesting that it's from someone who saw that kind of situation in real life.

And hey, I didn't realize you're in Hawaii too. I live up in Makakilo and work down in Waikiki. I don't suppose you're in the market for an M4 (AR15 carbine) are you? Or maybe a 9mm pistol? I've got one of each I'd like to sell and would love to find a local buyer.

Anyway, welcome to the forum.

I actually have about 380 pdf's covering everything from plumbing to barrel-ponics....including all of the U.S. military manuals covering things as mundane as fabric repair, and as crazy as improvised munitions. I've attached a drectory listing of the titles. Let me know if you are interested in any of them....or I can burn them to a dvd and drop them in the mail. Not sure why I started collecting them, but I suppose they could be useful in the right circumstances.

;D Nice...I live on Atkinson right next to the Convention Center. I work about a block away on Keeaumoku St.

Not really gun shopping right now, but let me give a shout out at work...never know who is in the market. What are you looking to get for the AR and what condition is it in?

If you're willing to just give away those manuals for free, maybe we could set up a page on our wiki.

http://pa.wikia.com

The AR is literally brand new, never been fired. It's an M4 in the A3 configuration. I bought it a little over a year ago after I sold my house and had some extra cash laying around. I paid $1200 or $1300, but would take $1000 for it easy, maybe less depending on what the market prices look like now days.

Ammo for it is just too expensive for casual shooting.

The 9mm is a Ruger P89. That hasn't been shot in 15 years, and is in average condition. Not really sure what that one's worth.

I also have a Chinese-made SKS with a Dragonov stock on it. I'd ask $150 for that one.

Of course any one who's interested would need to have the appropriate permits and such.

Sure...That would be cool. I am not looking to gain anything from them. I just think its nice to have all of these freely available resources collected up in one spot. Never does any good to try and get them after you need them. I always like to keep them on a sd card, so I can read them on my Nook, if I ever needed to.
