Okay, I'm in there as Butch now.
Looks like they're really friendly, but super-busy... got a mail after one week that they make an exception for me (so I can play although I'm connecting from Germany). 
I'm in the "Area of Bloody Tears" now.
Edit: It seems that you have to be in Hero Mode (so, either pay money or make some points with playing) to form coalitions, so it'll take some time, I guess...
Edit2: Oh lol, just saw in the help section that there actually is a german version by that game going on for some time.  Thought the french version was the only one?
Ah well, but in the German game I wouldn't get to play together with you guys...
