Once Mubarak is gone from the presidency, things will settle down and it will be back to life as normal.

In Egypt maybe, but not the rest of the muslim world. I hope it spreads though into Southeast Asia as well as deeper into Africa. The world needs change and hope(note: when I say change and I hope I mean change and hope, not change nothing and take away hope[obama]) and with these countries the only way for this to happen in a lot of them is for the people to say enough is enough and topple the regimes that are stifling them.

It's sad that this is what countries need to turn to in order to get the governmental system they want, but at least it's working and they're getting heard now, hopefully this will be a major turning point for the better in Egypt, it certainly looks like it could be with even the army on their side, lol.
I think, when the next inevitable economic downfall comes the world will be pretty much plunged into anger and riots, and i hope so, the current monetary system sucks and needs to change.

For me the issue is that the protesters tend to be united only by what they are against, rather than what they are for and that whilst I can fully understand why they feel the need to protest against their shitty governments (who are fully supported and paid for by the US and the West) I think you need to remember that the only other people in those countries with the organisational ability to take control tend to be Muslim fundamentalists.
In Egypt for example its a bunch of charmers called 'The Muslim Brotherhood' and thats not good news for the region in the slightest.
There is no happy outcome, as far as I can see, because there is no shining group of democrats waiting in the wings.
Its interesting times, thats for sure.

The Czech Republic, India, France, and the US have all risen from these conditions. Most notably France as it wasn't guided by anything but sheer hate. No one was leading it until the rich were all killed off with the Jacopins serving as an interim government until Napoleon rose to power.

Are you sure you'd want to be alive after something like that?
Of course! Cause I'd be the freaking king! Come in, come in, have some fresh food and water and grab a gun!

I heard a report on the Egyptian military on NPR - Apparently they own a piece of every business in the country. Manufacturing, hotels, restaurants - you name it. They apparently are clearing betweem 15 and 40% of Egypts GNP every year. It's pretty amazing, and something to consider. This is bound to get uglier before it gets better. I'm sure there's radical Islamist agents provacateur on the fringes of this, hoping to radicalize this movement.

I don't think that Egypt will become radicalized, not after what they are going through right now for their rights. The Muslim Brotherhood isn't going to have anyone in the elections so no fear from them, and even if they did they wouldn't get anyone into office. My guess is that either the google guy or the one from the UN will be elected.

They are gonna keep doing it for a couple more days I think. I just hope that Egypt can come to the wonderful world of democracy without more blood.
