After I saw your post in the introduction thread I went out and found your book and picked it up for my Kindle. For now, it's my plan to read it after I finish the Hunger Games trilogy. Looking forward to it.

Thanks, guys.
Now I'm off to research radiation-related cancers and other cheery topics.

Read it whilst on my summer holidays.
As a Brit I have to be honest and say that the survialist aspect of it is not something that I would define as my 'cup of tea' but I thought it a brave book in terms of you using a multi-character view point and that I liked the ending in that you avoided it all being saccharin sweet.
Looking forward to the next one and well done on getting published.

Thanks, matov.
The sequel is becoming a study of power in times of crisis, but it should have at least one scene involving the drinking of tea!

Just finished The Unit tonight. Melanie is a complete moron, but I really liked the book. Turned out to be way more interesting and aligned with my favorite PA themes than the blurb made it sound like it would be. Will try to get a real review up, but I'm on vacation for another two and a half weeks, so it might be while.
Really looking forward to the sequel too.

Any chance for an audiobook version? I would love that.

I've read an excerpt from what I think is the main site. Beyond that I want it.

Are you sure you'd want to be alive after something like that?
Of course! Cause I'd be the freaking king! Come in, come in, have some fresh food and water and grab a gun!

The e-book is audio enabled, and can be downloaded to e-readers, PCs and smart phones.
But I don't think there will be a true audiobook version unless book/kindle sales increase.
Sorry. Thanks for asking!

Now there's an idea! I'd do it but I mumble like Hunter Thompson did, after the speed wore off.
Actually, I think my editor might want some input about an audio version.
On the bright side, sales have picked up recently. Hope the book "earns out" its advance. Thanks for the support here. Means a lot to me.

Picked up The Unit just this weekend at a convention (one of only two in my little corner of the world). I'm looking forward to reading it as soon as I've finished The Food Of The Gods by H.G. Wells - however, I find Wells' writing a little too archaic for my tastes so I might get to The Unit much sooner than planned!
