I know we usually talk about fictional PA books here but I wanted to share the news with y'all.
A few weeks ago, I signed a contract with Ulysses Press to write a book, tentatively titled Prepper's Home Defense: Security Strategies to Protect Your Family by Any Means Necessary.

I should probably mention that the Foreword will be written by Jerry Ahern, acclaimed author of The Survivalist series and all around firearms expert.

In the not too distant future, there may very well come a time when 9-1-1 and emergency services won’t be available any more. Survivors of a major collapse will truly be left to their own devices when it comes to providing for their safety and security. The importance of adequate security planning cannot be overstated. At one end of the spectrum, there are the survivalists who have gathered together an extensive armory with dozens of firearms and cases of ammunition. Unfortunately, they may have only stockpiled a very minimal amount of food, water, and other necessary supplies. At the other end, there are the minimalist preppers who haven’t given much thought to security issues and instead focus on gardening and learning about wild edibles. Prepper's Home Defense takes a middle of the road, balanced approach to security matters. Most people cannot afford to spend thousands of dollars on a well-equipped armory, nor do they need to do so. Prepper's Home Defense is a practical, no nonsense approach to keeping preppers and their families safe. No wild histrionics, no Rambo mentality, just common sense information and instruction.

Congratulations! The book sounds awesome. I will buy it the moment it's out - not because I need it (I bloody well hope not  ) but because I'm very interested in this sort of stuff and I don't think there're many books about it around. I'm very happy for you. Keep writing!

Best of British with it and whilst the whole prepping thing is not my cup of tea so to speak I have posted a link on PTKO and might even treat myself to a copy for Christmas ! Always had a lot of time for what you have to write and you have made me look at my own prejudices with regards to the prepping community and concede that they aint all tin-foil hat wearing loons
