The BBC has an interesting little feature about whole towns which were built and never used:

It's weird because they look brand new - presumably the lack of traffic means they don't have the same air pollution that rapidly ages new buildings in normal towns.

I'd love to visit some of these, especially that amusement park being used by farmers to grow crops.

I remember seeing something about this a few months back. I'm always curious to find out more about these "never-lived-in" cities so thanks for posting the links :)

Guess that's what state-directed economy (combined with corruption?) gets you. I just wonder - are these flats provided with electricity etc.? Cause it would be kinda cool to have that much space, even if it was just a second flat.
I wonder how much flats there cost?
