Well, um, nobody else caring for that game anymore? It's out since May, after all. Anyway, I got the First Edition today and started in Ranger mode right away. Maybe that wasn't so smart after all, since it skips all the introduction texts. I thought I'd just read the manual, but I only learnt from the loading screen that you can knock out enemies instead of killing them. Also, I couldn't figure out how I was supposed to throw knives - select them in the weapon menu, press R2 to throw - why doesn't it work? Well, you have to TAP the button. Argh. Plus, the "normal" mode shows you a comparison of the weapons if you find new ones - Ranger mode doesn't. Looks like I gotta read a weapon's manual, too. Still, I got into it pretty quickly, and I like the stealth. Every time I can, I sneak through the levels undetected.
Edit: Oh, and if you didn't notice, they stopped developing it for the Wii U, otherwise I wouldn't have bought it for the PS3. Claimed the CPU was too slow. Well - too slow for what, I wonder? Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 runs nicely in 1080p on that machine, after all. And Metro: Last Light is not ugly, but surely not looking particularily super-pretty either.
