Hi guys, my name is Erik! I also go by "Swede", since I am from Sweden. I currently live in southern California. I've been a prepper for some time and a ham radio operator for a couple of years. For Wasteland Weekend 2011 I decided to build a makeshift antenna and start a group based on radio communication after the apocalypse. Since then, we've formed an FCC licensed amateur radio club devoted to introducing fans of postapoc fiction to amateur radio communications.

I'll write something up about radio comms soon, meanwhile feel free to check out our club website http://www.wccorp.org or find the Wasteland Communication Corp on facebook!

Hi everyone. I am Dave from Sheffield UK.
I've always had an interest in the post apocalyptic and hope to discuss ideas and theories here with other likeminded people.
I am a landscape photographer and am into urban exploration, especially around the abandoned industrial areas in my home town.
I also write and have recently completed my first novel The Crying House about a group of refugees fleeing Britain following an economic collapse. I hope to be able to discuss my ideas with you all here.

Dave.

Hello Fellow Surviors
Happened to find this site and thought it would be
good to share information on the graphic novel I'm
starting to create.
Its called [ No Man's Land - The Denver Run ]

Earth passes through a massive Asteroid field which pounds the heck out of the world. Several of the Asteroids are caring a virus that kills off all but about 10% of the population. It also causes a change in the axial tilt of the earth turning North America into a more tropical climate.
The story starts out five years after the apocalypse, with a group of survivors needing to find some more fuel so they send out their search unit along with a security detail. While in route to that they hope is a surviving refinery they get a call of another group that is under siege by. They detour to pick up the survivors. And end up picking up about 150 mostly women and children.
They will deal with multiple encounters as they continue to the refinery and on the return to what they call the Midwest Safe Zone just east of the Mississippi river in Illinois

My name is LoneSniper. I am a big fan of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Metro 2033. I have also been taking part in writing a homebrew post-nuclear attack game on 1d4chan.org, (a wiki-type subsection of 4chan/TG) called the "Post-Apocalyptic Roadmap" project. It has been very fun for me to contribute to the Minnesota section, trying to think of what I would do in the event of nuclear winter.

http://www.1d4chan.org/wiki/The_Post-Apocalyptic_Roadmap

Be advised, there is strong language, so don't let any little ones get on it.

I am an Airsofter and also a video gamer. Through airsoft, I have become something of a prepper. I've got a working czech M10 gas mask, although I bought this to do a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. costume, it's there if needed. My household also tries to stock up on emergency food, but we only have a couple day's worth.
