You'll also have to have a escape hatch, legally I mean.

The call to arms sounds across the land
heed its call
arm yourselves for times to come
and pray that it will be short

You can not invade mainland America. There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass.

Hello, found you through twitter. Didn't know there was all this going on. Interesting. Name's CD Echterling. I'm the author of Scavengers which is more about the recovery from an apocalyptic event than about the event itself.

Not quite sure what lead me to feel the need to join. First became interested in all things post-apocalyptical at about aged 10 watching the original Survivors, and later reading Day of the Triffids. The latter remains in my Top Ten favourite Books list 30 years later and is one of the rare books I can re-read from time to time.

Have spent most of today catching up on 'We're alive - a zombie story of survival' got completely hooked but now it's gone dark can't listen to anymore (I got scared)

Gradually introducing the genre to my kids, eldest is a teenager and likes guns. Youngest is a bit more sensitive but together we've watched the Last Train, a modern version of Day of the Triffids and I've told him a sanitised version of 28 days later.

Hey everyone,
My name is Henry, I'm a filmmaker working on a post-apocalyptic project to direct in November. I joined the site to network and promote my short film to those that might show the most interest in it. Here is the Indiegogo for it, which has a lot more details. http://www.indiegogo.com/Gate-128
Best,
Henry

Welcome to the forum everyone.
This forum just keeps getting more and more interesting with the number of people joining who are authors or film makers. I think it's great that we get some advance notice of upcoming books/films in the genre but also that people here are encouraging and even assisting those authors/film makers.

I'M BACK!!!!!!! Before you ask, no, I'm still at the hospital but now I have a limited wifi and can do my posts from my bed. Now, I am just waiting for my new prosthetic lega and then i can go home. Unfortunately KOW I can't hook my xbox to the internet cause they don't have a hardline port and I sent my wife back with my wifi adapter, might just go get a new xbox I guess. Ok, I have no appointments for the next week so I am going to be putting out a lot of posts again.

Well, you're welcome here in any case, Vault72. Have heard a lot about you already.

I got here because King of The Wastes linked to this site on the Bethesda Fallout forums. I live in Southern California and my favorite topics are either post-apoc. worlds or trans-humanism.

Woops, my bad. I think you posted a link to your site with some pictures of home-made weapons created from what seems like junk. You linked to this forum from that blog post.

Ah yes now I remember, yeah that's for some reason my most popular post on the blog. Yeah the paf and paef are 2 different internetverse's. Megaton does a lot more of the Post Apocalyptic genre and is really good at it to, I do more of the prepping side rather badly.
