Countdown to Preparedness

As we enter the new year and come ever closer to the "dreaded" 12/21/2012 date, we have a new feature on SurvivalWeekly.com we're calling Countdown to Preparedness. It is a 52 week course in disaster readiness. Each week, we'll have a new article focusing on one or more things you should do to become better prepared. Some weeks that will involve accomplishing a physical goal. Other weeks it might entail purchasing some supplies. Still other weeks will be more along the lines of "mind exercises." The goal is to take someone who is brand-spankin'-new to prepping and in a year's time, get them as prepared as possible.

While I don't necessarily buy in to Mayan prophecy, I'm certainly not above using that hype to promote preparedness.
