Chance to win a beta key for Die2Nite

I just put up a blog post about this. - http://pa-ne.ws/betakey

The company developing the zombie survival game Die2Nite are letting me submit 10 names to receive a guaranteed beta key for the upcoming trial period which begins on November 1.

If you're interested in getting a key, visit the Contact page on Megaton.us and give me our name and email address. The first 10 people will be guaranteed a key, and then anyone else will get a chance to win a key.

The game looks pretty cool. It's free to play and completely browser based. The French version already has 180,000 players, so it's got to be at least decent.

Let me know if you're interested.

Looks like it's mostly text-based. You're in a town with a bunch of other survivors and you need to explore during the day and survive zombie attacks at night. There's a few screenshots on the die2nite.com page.

I guess it won't cause megaton doesn't play that game. I just left that field blank, but I still can't play it because I'm connecting from Europe. I hope they reply soon, otherwise I have to ask someone from the US to create an account for me or find a working US proxy.

I tried it again today, with the beta key sent to me by the Die2Nite team - and left the 'Sponsor' field blank.....and IT WORKED!

I've tried the game out for ten mins or so and I have to say - I'm rather impressed. It certainly has room to grow and improvements to be made, but it's quite good even at this relatively early stage. It certainly has a 'survival' feel to it with scavenging hunts for usable items a regular occurrence and improvements to be made to your home and your town - but bear in mind it's a 'daily log on' type of game with a set number of 'action points' that you refresh by doing one of two things a day - drinking water and eating some food. Both can be done once to replenish 'action points' each day but no more.

Still, it's good!
