 Peak Water?
« Thread Started on Jun 15, 2010, 11:52am »

The issue of Peak Oil (where extraction rates hit an irreversible decline) has been discussed and debated many times over suggesting we have passed the peak or the peak is 30 years away...Some folks over at the Pacific Institute posted and article on Peak Water and it's impact to the world.

There will always be freshwater on the planet, the water cycle can't be broken.

Good article King, you should read it. There may always be fresh water, but how much and who will control it?

A better idea would be to develop a system to collect rainwater and store it for future use in your "survival garden" or house.

I will also help for you to know how to filter water out, radiation doesn't cling to water but it does cling to the particles that float in it. And remember to boil the water as well no matter what, this will get any bacteria inside of it nice and dead.

I have some more homemade stuff that I will put in the weapons sections, I wouldn't recommend making them till you REALLY need them though. I am trying to get more stuff like this and put it all into one zip folder so that people have access to this sort of stuff just in case they need it.

Remember, charcoal is not the same as the stuff you put in your grill, at least as far as water filtering properties go.

they made one on "The Colony" season 1 I believe. Or it could be naked science. Probably both.

Yeah they had a big one in the Colony. Everyone should have one to filter rain water I think for personal use and gardening.
