I just got a job with Fedex, and I'll be looking for another as well. It's only a part time job but it has a lot of benefits. So whats everyone else been doing?

I hope one of your benefits is cheap shipping on stuff. You can stock up on supplies and accessories for your guns.

No I'm not. I'll be packing and unpacking trailers. I'll be working in the Hub which deals with with non-local shipping. I should be pretty buff by the time WW comes around, least I hope I am. I dont want to fuck this job up. With the money I'll be making I'll be able to prep a lot more.

I worked at UPS Supply Chain Solutions in IT for 10 years. Tough job working in a hub...they work you hard. I think the drivers have it even worse.

I recently left Hawaii for Arizona and now I work from home for Blue Cross Blue Shield (HMSA) doing the same job I did in Hawaii.

At fedex the general consensus is "fuck ups". Just sayin. Right now though it's kickin the shit outta me, I have been taking a lot of ibuprofen to help.

Avoid taking medicine for pain too much. Just get more rest. The more often you take ibuprofen and other pills for pain, the less your body will try to recover since it is then expecting a foreign substance to make up for that. This is the same problem that develops with caffeine addiction and drug dependencies, albeit on a likely smaller scale. Plus, the tolerances developed can really screw you up.

Ibuprofen can cause your liver to go into shock and cease to function. Don't take more than 1400mg (at most) for four hour windows. Should only be like, 1800mg a day if you're a full-grown man. I can't even take 1500 a day or I start feeling sickly.

Seriously, be careful with acetaminophen and asprin-based substances.

I didn't take any today, and my god it was horrible. I usually only take 2-3 200's before work and thats mostly it.

Well, with any drug, there's a tolerance factor. I used to take thc pills before meals because I grew up with an eating disorder, but after a few years I couldn't feel the effects of them. (THC is a little stronger than Acetaminophen... but the same principle applies.)

Try to space out the usage, instead of not taking them on certain days. Like 300mg per two hours instead of all 600 at once.

There was a point during my college days where I had no dental insurance and a terrible toothache. I was taking 1500mg every four or five hours just to calm the excruciating pain. It was bad news all over.

Beer and ibuprophen has gotten me through 20 years of construction work. You shouldn't mix them of course, but it is what it is. I don't like taking anything - I'm the guy who gets pain meds, takes one or two, then saves the rest for the future when I'm REALLY hurting. We're all dying slowly - do what you need to do, but drink LOTS of water and Powerade. it's likely that lactic acid build up is the main cause of your pain. You'll get used to the schedule. Wear a back brace. My brother-in-law does this for UPS and I've done my share of palletizing. Got my first back injury doing that. (Shoulder). It hurts whenever the barometric pressure goes down now. Just wait until you children get older and it hurts ALL THE TIME. Something to look forward to, LOL.

Water's good anytime you take meds. And yeah, don't mix alcohol and medication... just a general rule of thumb.
